As you work on deciding where to end your chapters and begin new ones, remember that each chapter should conclude with some kind of cliffhanger - an intriguing thought, dialogue, or action that makes your reader want to continue with the journey. You also need to follow up on where you left off in the previous chapter when you begin the next one. If you concluded the previous chapter with a question that needs to be answered at the start of the next one, don't disappoint your readers by holding out too long to reveal the secret, or worse yet, not revealing it at all.
Try to keep your chapter transitions smooth and consistent. Make the reader want to continue reading by using interesting cliffhangers and not leaving unanswered questions. Build up the suspense, and then deliver an amazing conclusion. Your readers will love your story for this.
Happy writing! :)
